The Cheese Course: Washington

Much like its wines, Washington cheese has a personality all of its own, and with nearly 50 creameries scattered about the state there are many options to celebrate! In this class Cheese Sensory Evaluator Courtney Johnson will take you on a tour of cheese that ranges from the Puget Sound islands to the hills of Eastern Washington, and several stops in between. You’ll learn how Washington’s varied terroir makes our cheese special, and the stories behind the families that make them. You’ll sip wine and enjoy a variety of different cheeses – including strictly seasonal and some hard to find examples – all expertly paired with accompaniments designed to enhance their natural qualities.
